MVYLI Job Shadow Day 2011
MVYLI youth participate in the National Job Shadow Day. Youth are matched with Vineyard businesses so they can have first-hand experience with careers in their field of interest. The day culminates with a reception for MVYLI youth and their mentors to share their experiences.
Job Shadow Day 2011: MVYLI Youth and their Mentors
The goal is to give young people a positive experience in the work world, to promote a good work ethic, and to develop longer-lasting relationships with Vineyard businesses that contribute to the Island’s economy. This program leads to jobs, internships, apprenticeships, and careers, helping to create a more sustainable Vineyard economy. This program is run in partnership with the MV Chamber of Commerce.
